SOLFORLESS is a product tested and certified by the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano, resulting suitable for the requirements of the Ministerial Decree 20 of 24 January 2011 of the Ministry of the Environment.

In case of accidental leakage of the acid from the batteries, spread SOLFORLESS until the dispersed liquid is completely covered. At the end of the reaction (5 minutes) the dense slurry will have a pH close to 7, ie in addition to having absorbed it will also neutralize the acid. This compound can be collected and disposed of as SPECIAL NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE through companies locally authorized to landfill. It is a 100% ecological powder (inert mineral powders), non-toxic neither for humans, nor for the environment, completely fireproof, that is incombustible (Fire reaction class A1).

Solforless must be stored in a covered and dry place. The product kept in good condition, even if opened and properly closed, is guaranteed for 6 YEARS (72 months) from the date of production; on each package the expiration date is clearly indicated.

It is a fine white / pink powder with a pH of 8.5 - 10.5. The Solforless powder has an absorbing and neutralizing power equal to 530 g of product per 1 liter electrolyte with a density of 1.26 kg / dm3, ie the typical characteristics of sulfuric acid contained in common lead batteries.

It is typically used in industries that have electric forklift trucks / transpallets, industries that stock / produce batteries, workshops, electrical repairs, spare parts dealers or car and motorcycle dealerships.

The basic nature of the product allows a rapid exothermic reaction with the electrolytic solution at the end of which the corrosive action of sulfuric acid is completely extinguished. The residue of this reaction is a dense and compact compound which has a pH close to the value 7 of perfect neutrality.

It is used by spreading the SOLFORLESS powder on the whole quantity of acid until it completely covers all the spilled liquid; then it is checked that all the liquid has been adsorbed by the product (if necessary adding more product until completely absorbed). Leave it to act for about 5 minutes, after which the product is collected and disposed of.

At the end of the reaction the dense mixture formed will have a pH close to 7 (neutral) and can be disposed of as SPECIAL NON-HAZARDOUS WASTE.

To verify that Solforless has correctly neutralized sulfuric acid, just use a litmus paper: just immerse the strip in a glass containing little water with the neutralized powder; compare the strip with the legend and if the pH is equal to 7, then the Solforless has absorbed and neutralized the sulfuric acid. If the pH is instead of 7 (basic) the product in use is not suitable to neutralize the sulfuric acid of lead batteries.

The powder is packaged in 5 kg and 15 kg buckets.
